75th Anniversary Open House

Celebrate 75 years of protecting our community and the Suisun Marsh with Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District! Join us for a free, family-friendly Open House featuring behind-the-scenes tours of our wastewater treatment plant, hands-on activities for kids, and plenty of opportunities to learn how we clean water and safeguard the environment. Explore interactive exhibits and meet the people who keep our system running every day. Free food will be available for people who pre-register through Eventbrite by 4/24/26.

Whether you’re curious about where your water goes or just looking for a fun community event, there’s something for everyone!

Participants are welcome to join us any time during the event hours. Food will be served between 11 am and 1 pm.

Will food be available at the event?

Chapos Tacos will be serving food onsite from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. People who register through Eventbrite by April 24th will have guaranteed access to the food truck free of charge. The availability of food is not guaranteed if you do not register through Eventbrite by 4/24/26.

Will there be tours of the treatment plant?

Yes! We will offer free tours of the treatment plant. Tours are scheduled to start at 10:15 am, 11:15 am, and 12:15 pm.

Will there be kid-friendly activities?

Yes! Many of the activities and demos are appropriate and can be tailored to kids of all ages. There will be a “passport” book provided where kids (and adults) can collect stamps from each of the activities/tables. Completed “passport” books ca be exchanged for a special gift.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking will be available. Enter through the main gate off of Chadbourne Road and follow the signs to the parking area.

What else is going on at the event?

Representatives from Sustainable Solano, Greenbelt Alliance, Solano Resource Conservation District, San Francisco Estuary Institute, and the Office of Assemblymember Lori D. Wilson will be on-site to share information and resources with attendees.
