SOLANO BAYSHORE RESILIENCY ROUNDTABLE

Overview

The Solano Bayshore Resiliency Roundtable is a community of several organizations and individuals within Solano County and the Bay Area collaborating on climate change adaptation initiatives in the region. The purpose of the Roundtable is to foster resilient projects and citizen engagement for our communities and our environment through our shared values, joint initiatives, and coordinated efforts.

The Solano Bayshore Resiliency Project is aimed at addressing the impacts of sea-level rise and building regional climate resilience. The project will develop a multi-jurisdictional shoreline adaptation plan that incorporates vulnerability assessments, community engagement, aligns with SB 272 requirements, and actionable strategies to mitigate risks to infrastructure, ecosystems, and communities.

The project is divided into three phases to ensure a structured and inclusive approach:

Phase 1:  Pre-Planning – Includes community outreach, equitable engagement, and vulnerability assessment
Phase 2:  Data/Information Gathering – Focuses on hazard mapping, exposure analysis, and data compilation
Phase 3:  Develops the shoreline adaptation plan, including actionable strategies and project concepts.

The Solano Bayshore Resiliency Project is funded by the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI), formerly the Office of Planning and Research (OPR), Regional Resilience Grant Program.

Our vision is to ensure the long-term health of our Solano Bayshore communities by incorporating nature-based solutions and community engagement into our projects where feasible. Join us in shaping the future of the Solano Bayshore!
